Richard Wingate is the General Counsel for Fortune 500 International Companies and Start-Up. He served as a General Counsel of L.G. Electronics USA, Inc. based in Englewood Cliffs, N.J., L.G. Electronics USA, Inc., (LGEUS) is the North American subsidiary of L.G. Electronics Inc., a $45-billion global force in consumer electronics, home appliances, and mobile communications. Currently, he is General Counsel at B.P. Group and serving various other commercial clients and startups as part of Rick Wingate Consulting. He is also on the Board of Directors of A&A Quality Appliance Inc., a Colorado-based multi-state retailer.

Prior to LGEUS, he was with Sony Electronics Inc. as Senior Managing Counsel, and he was Counsel with Pan Atlantic Corporation and a Staff Attorney and Land Attorney with Chevron USA.

Mr. Wingate holds Bar memberships in New York and previously in New Jersey (“In-House” Admission). Mr. Wingate is a member of the American Bar Association, the Association of Corporate Counsel, and World Commerce and Contracting as a Board Member. He was also an adjunct Professor with SUNY Westchester in the Paralegal Program for 14 years.

Mr. Wingate earned a law degree from Tulane University School of Law. He received his Bachelor’s degree from Rutgers College.
