On January 22, 2025, the AABANY Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Committee held a CLE event at the Yoo Law Group\u2019s NY office. The session was moderated by Rachel J. Yoo, Co-Chair of the ADR Committee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event featured four highly respected professionals, including matrimonial lawyers, mediators, and psychologists, who are experienced in the intersection of mental health and family disputes. Historically, mental health factors have often been overlooked in family and matrimonial disputes. This CLE explored how recognizing and addressing these issues can foster more effective, compassionate, and lasting resolutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the speakers, Dr. Jihee Cho, co-founder of Mind in Motion Psychological Services, shared her expertise on the impact of emotional-regulating disorders in decision-making during disputes. She also provided insights into strategies for helping parties move forward in such challenging situations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
